Quantitative Developer (Risk Technology)

Profile

We are working with a leading multi-strategy hedge fund in seeking a Quantitative Developer for their Risk Technology team. The individual would need to have strong communication skills in order to work with a team of experienced developers and Risk Managers within Fixed Income and Equity Strategies. The individual would also need to architect and develop low-latency systems within the Risk Technology space and to be independent and strong enough to support the firm's Risk business.

RESPONSIBILITies

Implement best practices and ensure a robust Risk Tech Framework
Liaise with Risk managers to understand the business requirements
Support Risk Systems and participate in the end-of-day support cycle
Utilize strong architect skills in order to develop scalable/high performance solutions for low-latency Risk calculations
Work with a team of strong developers

QualificationS

3+ years professional experience (Financial Industry Desirable)
Master's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Expert Fluency in Java and Python and its packages
Excellent Communication Skills
Experience working in small-to-medium size Quantitative Development teams
Good understanding of various Design Patterns, Algorithms and Data Structures
Good understanding of CI/CD; Unit and Integration Testing
Experience in Multi-Threading, Client-Server and Distributed Computing
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
~ 2+ years of Microservices experience (preferred)
Experience developing Cross Asset Pricing and Risk Systems (preferred)
Experience with Fixed Income and Equities pricing and risk analytics (preferred)
Experience with messaging libraries (preferred)
Experience with NoSQL databases (preferred)
Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (preferred)
Experience working in Linux environment (preferred)
Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with interest and exposure to quantitative finance (preferred)
